PROCESS NOTE · Updated
Make stock records traceable before adding forecasts.
Connect movement, invoices and reconciliation before predicting the next decision.
Map the movement
Describe how raw materials, production, finished goods and warehouses are represented. Confirm the source of truth for each record.
Explain the differences
Keep adjustments and unmatched entries visible. A useful report should help a reviewer trace a total back to its records and understand why two views differ.
Treat forecasting as a separate question
Forecasting requires suitable historical data, a defined decision and validation against a baseline. It should not stand in for reliable transaction records.
General design guidance. Examples describe approaches to scope, not measured customer results.
